From January to March 2012, we undertook an awareness-raising campaign in Douala to raise awareness about citizens’ rights to a clean and healthy environment. The project team together with other civil society organisations including MIEUX ETRE, AJEGBO, and AFHALIDT (a disabled women’s association), and students from the University of Douala and IPD distributed a number of leaflets and held meetings with community members to discuss the different benefits associated with a clean living environment. This was undertaken as part of FCTV’s Waste to Wealth project which is being undertaken in partnership with Living Earth Foundation and is funded by the European Union and Comic Relief.
